How to compare two tipsters

Stuck between two services? Don't just pick the bigger number. Run both through this cheat sheet to compare what actually matters — then make a confident, evidence-based choice.

The 6 things that actually matter

  1. 1

    Trust Score

A 0–100 blend of user ratings, review volume, recency and verification. Higher is better — but it reflects reputation, not guaranteed profit.

  2. 2

    Number of reviews

A 4.8 from 3 reviews is far weaker evidence than a 4.3 from 200. More reviews = a more reliable score.

  3. 3

    Verification

A verified profile confirms who runs the service. It adds accountability, not a promise of returns.

  4. 4

    Pricing (free vs premium)

Price says nothing about profitability. Compare each service's after-costs results, not the size of the fee.

  5. 5

    Sport & bet type overlap

Only compare like for like. A football accumulator service and a horse-racing value tipster aren't really rivals.

  6. 6

    Transparency of record

Prefer whoever publishes a full, time-stamped record with advised odds and stakes over a large sample.

7 questions to ask before you choose

  • Which one has more independent reviews behind its rating?
  • Is either profile verified?
  • Do they cover the sport and bet types I actually want to bet?
  • What does each really cost me after subscription fees?
  • Whose published record is longer, dated and independently checkable?
  • Does either make guarantees or hide losing runs? (walk away if so)
  • Could I trial one for free before paying for the other?
