TipsterCheck is free for readers. To keep the lights on we earn money in two clearly-defined ways. We think you deserve to know exactly how — and, just as importantly, how it does not influence what you read.
1. Affiliate links
Some outbound links on this site — for example the "Visit tipster" button or certain bookmaker links — are affiliate links. If you click one and go on to sign up, we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you.
Affiliate links are marked with rel="sponsored" and never change the price you pay. Crucially, whether or not a tipster has an affiliate arrangement with us has no bearing on their rating.
2. Sponsored & featured listings
A tipster or brand can pay to be featured more prominently. Whenever a placement is paid for, it is clearly labelled "Sponsored". Sponsored placements affect visibility only — they never buy a better Trust Score, a better star rating, or the removal of genuine negative reviews.
Our editorial independence
Trust Scores are calculated by a fixed algorithm and star ratings come from real, verified users — not from us and not from advertisers. Money changing hands can influence where something appears, never how it is rated. Read exactly how ratings are calculated on our methodology page.
We do not sell tips, we do not accept payment to write positive reviews, and we do not remove honest reviews on request. If you ever spot something that looks like paid-for praise, please tell us.
