What is the Trust Score?
Every tipster on TipsterCheck gets a Trust Score from 0 to 100. It's a single, transparent number that helps you judge credibility at a glance — deliberately built so it can't be gamed by a few fake five-star reviews.
We combine four signals: the average review rating, the number of reviews, how recent that feedback is, and whether the profile is verified. Paid or sponsored placement never affects it.

Why bettors use TipsterCheck
Genuinely independent
We don't sell tips and we never take payment to inflate a rating. Sponsored listings are clearly labelled and have zero effect on a tipster's Trust Score or user reviews — so what you read is the real picture.
Built to resist fake reviews
Reviewers must confirm their email, can leave only one review per tipster, and everything can be reported and moderated. The Trust Score weights review volume and recency so a handful of planted five-stars can't game the rankings.
Research before you pay
See reputation timelines, structured ratings and honest written feedback in one place. Please always gamble responsibly — betting should be fun, never a way to make guaranteed money. 18+. When the fun stops, stop.
Betting terms explained
New to following tipsters? These are the key terms you'll see across reviews and results, in plain English.
- ROI (Return on Investment)
- Profit divided by total amount staked, shown as a percentage. For a tipster, a sustained ROI of around 5–10% over a large sample is genuinely strong.
- Yield
- Another word for ROI in betting — your net profit as a percentage of total stakes. It's the fairest way to judge a tipster's long-term performance.
- Value bet
- A bet where the odds are bigger than the true probability of the outcome. Consistently finding value — not just backing winners — is what makes a tipster profitable long term.
- Staking plan
- The rules a tipster uses to decide bet size, such as level stakes or a points-based system. A clear staking plan is a key sign of a disciplined tipster.
- Each-way (E/W)
- A bet split in two: one part for the selection to win, one for it to place. Common in horse racing and golf where fields are large.
- Closing line value (CLV)
- Whether you took odds bigger than the final market price. Beating the closing line consistently is a strong indicator of a genuine edge.
