Red Flags in Tipster Reviews
Fake and biased reviews are everywhere. Here's how to spot the warning signs so you don't act on reviews that are really adverts.

Reviews should help you decide — but many are fabricated, incentivised or gamed. Spotting the red flags stops you trusting a review that's really marketing. This guide lists the warning signs, complementing what a fair tipster review looks like.
Only glowing, no detail
A wall of five-star praise with no specifics, numbers or downsides is a classic fake-review pattern — often fake testimonials on the tipster's own site. Genuine feedback is mixed and specific.
Perfection is a warning sign, not reassurance.
Suspicious timing and accounts
Clusters of positive reviews posted in a short burst, or from brand-new accounts, suggest manipulation. Real reviews accumulate steadily over time from varied users.
Watch for identical phrasing across multiple 'reviewers'.
Undisclosed incentives
Reviews pushing sign-up links without disclosing commission are compromised — the conflict in tipster affiliate conflicts of interest. If the 'review' exists mainly to funnel you to a bookmaker or subscription, be sceptical.
Independence is what makes a review worth reading.
No verifiable evidence
Beware reviews that repeat the tipster's profit claims without checking them, or rely on winning-bet screenshots. A trustworthy review cross-checks against a verifiable record.
