When is The Open 2027?
The 2027 Open Championship is scheduled from Thursday 15 to Sunday 18 July 2027 at the Old Course, St Andrews, in Fife, Scotland. It's the final men's major of the year and the oldest golf championship in the world.
The Open is golf's oldest major and the biggest golf betting week of the British summer. In 2027 it returns to the Old Course at St Andrews. Links golf brings wind, firm ground and tee-time draws that can decide the tournament, so luck plays a bigger part than at most majors — and each-way records are easy to flatter.

How to judge The Open tips before you pay
Ask how they handle the weather draw
At a links Open, the half of the field that gets the better weather on Thursday and Friday has a big edge. A credible tipster explains how forecasts and tee times shaped their picks.
Separate wins from each-way places
Open profits are often built on long-priced each-way places. Ask for results split into wins and places, and the place terms they assumed.
Ask for a full, time-stamped record — not highlights
Every tipster shares their big wins. What matters is every bet they advised, with the time it was sent, the stake and the odds available then. If they can only show winners, assume the losers were hidden.
Check the odds were actually available
Prices can move quickly after a tip is posted. Judge a record at the odds you could realistically get, and be wary of results quoted at the best price anywhere.
One tournament is a tiny sample
Even a busy event is only a small number of bets. A tipster can have a brilliant or awful tournament by luck alone, so judge them on years of results, not one event.
Set a budget and level stakes before it starts
Decide a total budget for the event, use level stakes (for example 1–2% of your bank per point) and stick to it. Chasing losses late in a tournament is how most people give back their winnings. 18+, and only bet what you can afford to lose.
