Half-Time / Full-Time
Predicting the result at both half-time and full-time (e.g. draw at the break, home win at the end). Higher odds thanks to the extra difficulty.
Half-Time/Full-Time (HT/FT) is a bet on the result at both the interval and the final whistle — for example, draw at half-time and a home win at full-time.
How it works
You must get both stages right, so there are nine possible combinations and the odds are generous. It's popular for backing strong favourites expected to break down stubborn opponents in the second half.
Worked example
A 'Draw/Home' HT/FT at 4.5 returns £45 on £10 if it's level at half-time and the home side wins by full-time.
Pros
- Bigger odds than a straight result
- Rewards reading how a game will flow
Cons
- Two stages must both be correct
- Low strike rate
Tips
- 'Draw/Favourite' is a classic angle for slow-starting favourites.
- Use sparingly — the difficulty is high.
FAQ
- How many outcomes are in HT/FT?
- Nine — every combination of home/draw/away at half-time paired with home/draw/away at full-time.
