Double Chance
Covering two of the three match outcomes in one bet — for example home win or draw. Lower odds, but a higher chance of returning.
Double Chance covers two of the three possible match outcomes in a single bet — home or draw, away or draw, or home or away.
How it works
By backing two outcomes you raise your chance of a return, at the cost of shorter odds. It's a lower-risk way to support a favourite or an underdog you expect to at least draw.
Worked example
Backing 'home or draw' at 1.30 means you win unless the away team wins — safer, but the £10 stake only returns £13.
Pros
- Higher strike rate than 1X2
- Cushions against a draw
Cons
- Short odds — low returns
- Poor value if the third outcome is unlikely anyway
Tips
- Useful on strong favourites you fear might draw.
- Compare it with Draw No Bet for the best value.
FAQ
- Is Double Chance a good bet?
- It's lower risk but lower reward. It's most useful when you expect a side to avoid defeat but aren't confident they'll win outright.
